Great food, fresh sushi but service...very slow.. just count on waiting for a while before you get served your food. Especially if it's to go order, call ahead and place the order because it takes a while. It's worth it though

Great little local spot, the young guy working as a server and host did a phenomenal job of taking care of us.

I had never eaten thai food before. Someone recommended this place and I don't regret going. The people there are friendly and the food was amazing. Everything here tasted real good!

Amazing Thai food! It’s been very hard for me to find good veg food while down here in Marathon - I was so happy to stumble upon Takara! Ended up ordering the fresh summer rolls and tofu pad see ew for carry out. My order was ready in under 30 minutes and the waitstaff were awesome upon my arrival for pickup. Will definitely eat here again YUM!

It was good. Had a nice meal and seemed pretty popular.

Never a bad experience. Although you can wait up to an hour for food on a busy day it is well worth the wait food is always hot and fresh.

Very good Thai and sushi. Probably the best on marathon. We ordered takeout for our group of 10 and they looked a little stressed and took some additional time preparing it but it was worth the wait and they threw in some additional items at no charge including an amazing fried banana dessert.

Solid Thai food with a good authentic flavor. The spice degrees are spot on, and best of all the heat in the dishes contributes to the flavor as opposed to some places where the spice is there just to be spicy with no flavor contribution. Will definitely be going back.

Great service, delicious Thai food. Loved the Thai tea, the vegetable ginger soup, the miso soup. All of our entrees were fantastic also. Can't believe it took me years of living down here to try this place.

We were in search of Thai food for dinner. We found this small joint on the main highway. It’s a very small place frequented by locals. It was very loud and felt not quite clean. It took a very long time to get waters and menus. I felt like they may have been understaffed for the evening. At least I hope this is not their normal response. We did finally get our Pad Thai, that was not very good. Maybe a bit too much lime making it bitter. We also tried some sushi. It seemed to be made correctly, but also was bland and possibly not as fresh. We love Thai food and we love sushi, but this will not be the place I return to to get it.

We had 4 different rolls and all were very good. Would recommend. Pretty quiet atmosphere, so good for conversation.

This place is a bit rundown from outside, you have to try their food. It was an amazing experience. All the dishes we order came out very delicious. We tried their plum wine which was excellent. The prices were reasonable. Overall highly recommend this place.

Nice food in Marathon, great service and waitress are energetic too...we tried tomyum, tomkha, drunken noodles, fried rice are awesome...just -ve part is waiting time.

The food was excellent however the service was some of the worst I’ve encountered in a long time. We were not checked on once after our meal arrived. It was slightly busy however the tables around us got serviced at least 5-6x before and after their meals arrived so no excuse for the lack of service.

Food is awesome but don't be in a rush when you go. Service is just always slow but it's worth it for the Sushi and Pad Thai.

Delicious Food!The food at Takara is wonderful. Its a very small restaurant only about 6 tables, but they do a lot of take out. We had a party of 5 so I was able to sample a bit of everything and it was all pretty good. The Heaven Beef and Fried Duck dishes were amazing. The Yellow Curry, Noodle bowl, and Garlic Chicken were good. There was only one waiter for the tables and phone orders, so the service was a little slow. I would definitely go back to try other items on the menu.

One of the most Authentic and well-made Thai food I've ever had. Terri works magic with her dishes. Every dish we (group of 7) ordered was extremely well done and done from the ground up. Stacy served us food and was very sweet to talk to. She runs the floor while Terri makes her magic in the kitchen. This is my first time writing a review and I'm reeeally lazy at such things. My hard work speaks for itself how much I admired having dined at such an amazing place.

Food is really good . A huge shout out to the front desk guy as he handled a one man show managing the customers and getting food . He did manage but the food came in very late as the place was very busy. Suggesting to increase staff as it might reduce problem of late service. Our food came in after an hour. Still the taste was really good.

Authentic, real and delicious Thai food. Family run and by that i mean don't be surprised to see their son hanging around the front door or in the dining room! No interfering, just living his life of the son of a restaurant owning family who has a routing that includes being at the restaurant every day the owners are the ones personally making your dish!

Fair at best. Eel roll was lacking eel. Crispy duck was dry.

I am a local and the first time I came to this place I LOVED it. I was craving the vegetable rice for a week and was excited to go back. Only when I went back not only did I find one piece of dark black hair, at which I still continued to eat, but to continue on and find a total of four pieces of hair in my food. I was thinking there is no way this is real. I'M ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED! I can't bring myself to go back there which is a shame because there are not many vegetarian options in town .

Very good, best sushi I've had on marathon key a lot better that sunset grill(trap). Takara much more reasonably priced and the sushi is better. The drunk noodle are on point and the waitress is top notch (highly recommend checking this place out)

The food very tasty. The Garlic soup was perfect, also the fried rice with vegetables. The service a bit slow, one man orquestra doing several things at the same time, but nice and gentle. The place need some improvements.
